This movie is one of those movies that feels personal no matter when you watch it. The friendships, travel moments, music, and emotions hit differently as you grow older. Fun on the surface, but deeply emotional underneath. Bunny and Naina’s journey still feels timeless.

Whether it's 12 years ago or today, the music, the story, and the relatability bring me to tears. This movie will forever go down in my list of greats. I'm not from the era of DDLJ and the other greats, and as my introduction to this type of film, it certainly will have a lasting impression on me. The movie grounds our beliefs and priorities in family and stability, while giving us a taste of the adventure life has to offer. It's a representation of my youth, and how I'd love to live, and, paired with music that lingers in my head for years, it creates a perfect melody that reminds me of how important life really is.

With a simple story, Yeh Jawaani Hai dewaani provides some of the best characters we've ever seen in a romance film. All the cast have amazing chemistry, specially deepika and ranbir, and all the emotional moments hit you in the gut when they arrive. This is one of the films that you can watch multiple times and still not get bored of it.
