At its core, The Fearless Hyena is an overly familiar traditional kung fu revenge story, but, being that this is Jackie Chan's directorial debut, you get the added treat of watching him figure himself out in real time. Showcasing his own brand of charm, naivety and bravado in a film that blends traditional martial arts storytelling with the comedic, expressive style that would later define his career. Unfortunately, it seems he hasn’t fully freed himself from Lo Wei quite yet, as there is a lot of Wei's influence still present; as it's clear this wasn't a big-budget or heavily refined production, Wei's writing is more prevalent than Chan's. But there’s definitely a charm in that roughness; it feels scrappy, personal and driven by a creative ambition of expression, so while The Fearless Hyena isn’t Jackie's best film, it is an important one, less about perfection and more about watching the blueprint of something great being built.

Filme: A Vingança do Dragão Assistido: Elenco: @jackiechan James Tien, Dean Shek, Wai Lau Chen, Shi-kwan Yen, Lee Kwan, Peng Kang Modelo: #artesmarciais #kungfu #ação Duração: 1h 38m Ano: 1979 Minha opinião: Jackie Chan tem uma extensa filmografia com mais de 100 filmes e ainda não parou. A Nova Fúria do Dragão (76), Dragão de Aço (76), A Lâmina da Morte (76), Golpes Mortais (76), 36 Golpes Mortais (77), A Marca do Dragão (77), Garras do Dragão (78), Magnificent Bodyguard (78), Punhos de Serpente (78), O Mestre Invencível (78), O Templo do Dragão (78), Half A Loaf of Kung Fu (78), The Fearless Hyena (79), Os Punhos do Dragão (79), Quebrando Limites (79), O Jovem Mestre do Kung Fu (80), Dragon Lord (82), A Saga do Dragão (83), Saga do Dragão (83).
