How many times will they keep making this movie?

Why are animal creature-like, lower life forms always presented as something that has a high order of intelligence - so much so that they have space travel capabilities. Meanwhile down here in Earth, regardless of politics and other factors, humans ARE extremely intelligent but are STILL living in the dirt compared to the rest of the universe?

I'd recommend Xtro over this one.
