The movie is an excellent bittersweet romanic drama

The movie is an excellent bittersweet romanic drama with a fairly profound elaboration of the pains of living with serious chronic conditions. I felt that the plot left some opportunities on the table, in terms of how lightly it ends (which seems fairly normal with these sorts of Chinese dramas, I think) and how much excuse outside of brain surgery there was given for Lü Tu's behaviors and mannerisms. But the seeds of doubt that the latter soes are actually even more honest. Its a touching film and I have trouble imagining anyone watching this with completely dry eyes.
