Fun little horror flick, with a shoestring budget

Fun little horror flick, with a shoestring budget it feels like. Had they perhaps more time to work on the effects i think we could have gotten more than just the same mermaid bites someone and then proceeds to finish the job with off-screen squelching.

Male lead actor saves movie

Had Tom Hendryk not been cast in this movie i doubt it would have even made it to streaming. Yeah its that bad.The storyline & script are very interesting. However the director failed here. The sound mixing is very bad, everything over powers the vocals. The camera work isnt acceptable, most daytime outdoor shots are very over exposed and washed out looking. The makeup is like something out of 60s movie, it looks like something a child came up with. The mermaids are women in white nightgowns? Really? I'm thinking i spent more on my backyard then was spent on this movie.Mermaids lure guy on the beach. Guy meets one, she likes him, the fun begins. Thats all, in short. Great idea, but the writer should have held out for better financing. Could have been alot better.
