Plot summary

Texas Ranger Samantha Payne reopens a 15-year-old missing person case, and uncovers evidence that suggests that the boy was likely murdered on a ranch belonging to wealthy family man, Scott Briggs. When Scott’s estranged son unexpectedly returns home during the investigation, Samantha becomes even more convinced that the Briggs family was involved, and will stop at nothing to discover the truth about the boy’s death - even putting her own life in jeopardy.

This movie had potential but this is a movie we've seen many times. A homophobic father tries to reconnect with his gay son and at the same time a female Texas ranger reopens a fifteen year old case involving the disappearance of a man involved with one of the brig brothers. Great cast but the story was predictable and boring at times. Tim Treakle

What a terrible movie. Terrible wooden acting from Robert Duvall and Luciana Pedraza as the female Texas Ranger had no credibility. I felt sorry for Josh Hartnett and James Franco as they did a good job despite a very weak story line with other weak members of the cast. A massive yawn.

Any movie with Duvall is worth a look

Any movie with Duvall is worth a look - except this one. Terrible acting, disjointed scenes, and a lady Texas Ranger with a speech impediment for an accent. Its almost like they ad-libbed every scene. Abolute Trainwreck.
