Wild Guitar is super cheesy and features acting that truly makes you wonder how these people got to be on the silver screen while so many talented thespians remain obscure. Arch Hall Jr. has a charisma that keeps me entertained yet smirking at the ludicrous delivery. I do enjoy the music in here. "Valerie" was such a jam that it was also in Eegah.

I highly recommend a viewing of gonzo Russ

I highly recommend a viewing of gonzo Russ Meyer-style director Ray Dennis Steckler's Wild Guitar (1962). This film and Llewyn could easily be two vehicles travelling the same two-lane blacktop in opposite directions, one a spotless vintage late '50s coupe and the other a junker bike that roars, coming together in the heartland to make some great music.
