Plot summary

Harvey and Zoey, two tourists in Israel, discover an ancient scroll about Herschel, the man who was almost Moses. Herschel receives the command from God to free his people from slavery, but Moses keeps getting all the credit.

Toothless and mostly laugh-less, this post-Brian biblical comedy

Toothless and mostly laugh-less, this post-Brian biblical comedy amounts to a bunch of lazy sketches with a thin thread. An all star cast of comics is wasted in bit roles, and it has nothing of consequence to say about the bible or faith despite the premise of an alternate Moses.

With a cast like Dudley Moore, John ritter

With a cast like Dudley Moore, John ritter, Richard pryor, Lorraine newman, Dom deluise, Madeline Kahn, Jack gifford, and Andrea Martin, you know the movie is going to be a laugh minute. There was some running gags that have been done many times before. Like at the beginning of the movie when Harvey is trying to catch the bus & caught in the door. The movie is a satirical look at egypt & story of moses. The concept has been done many times before. But this version is highly imaginative. And wildly entertaining.
