Laughably bad. But not really in a funny

Laughably bad. But not really in a funny way, more in a "this doesn't make any sense." Unreliable narrator and all that but still, it's not a good movie. Don't waste your time. It's surprising to me sometimes that shit like this gets produced. Pitiful attempt at a plot twist. Lot's of "phones don't work" and "we need to figure out what happened guys" and "we can't leave and go to the police" stuff. Waste of time, as said.

Disappointing whodunnit

I had some mixed feelings about this movie. It's basically a whodunnit, and in that capacity it makes you keep watching till the end to see who's the culprit. That solution comes by the way with a very inventive and surprising (at least to me) twist, that ultimately turns the whole plot upside down.But there was a whole lot wrong too. There were too many main characters, who hardly got any background, so it was hard to tie the right names to the right persons or to even keep them apart. They were all pretty unsympathetic, in fact I couldn't fathom why they were even friends or wanted to go on this trip together, from the very start everyone was cranky and bickering and insulting each other. The story is supposed to take place in some beautiful unspoiled natural surrounding, but the actual setting was for the biggest part of the movie limited to a small uninspiring camping ground. And the acting was just adequate, nothing more.So to get to the who-did-it solution with the inventive twist, you first have to endure some tough and tedious one and a half hour.

Channel surfing & recognized the BWCA

I saw what looked like Knife Lake while flipping through channels (I spent 8 days & nights last summer paddle boarding a 60-70 mile loop solo through the BWCA: fishing, catching some sun, watching Rick & Morty in a dry cozy tent in the pouring rain while hitting the vape pen ?, etc. - just a great place - a black bear swam 30 feet in front of me crossing one of the lakes in a narrow channel); The movie - absolutely awful. I couldn't watch more than about ~30 minutes. Just dumb in pretty much every way; the plot is nonsensical and the acting is atrocious. The only redeeming thing about this movie is that its a valuable reminder that I'd rather be doing something outside. I gave it a free star because I love the BWCA, but don't waste your time on this.
