This was from a PROPER review site: "WHELM is a promising first film from newcomer Skyler Lawson, who utilizes his Indiana homeland to full advantage in this tale regarding a particularly notorious Hoosier gangster. Filmed entirely on location in Wabash, IN, WHELM takes full advantage of its Midwestern surroundings, and boasts stunning cinematography of crowded cornfields, rolling rivers, and small-town street-life. The production design is notably authentic, and seems to plausibly depict the Depression-era Heartland, wonderfully matched by an appropriately dreary score. Though the cast did a great job with their roles, I felt that the script they were given left a bit to be desired; the non-linear plot, though innovative, became quite convoluted by the end of the film, and I found it challenging to tease out the threads intertwining the major characters. All-in-all, Lawson's direction yields a bright future for the young filmmaker, and I'm excited to see his next work."

What is the impression of this film, is the story good or bad ??? No Review
