Plot summary

Advertising executive Nick Marshall is as cocky as they come, but what happens to a chauvinistic guy when he can suddenly hear what women are thinking? Nick gets passed over for a promotion, but after an accident enables him to hear women's thoughts, he puts his newfound talent to work against Darcy, his new boss, who seems to be infatuated with him.

A very funny romantic comedy from the early

A very funny romantic comedy from the early, or not so early, 2000s, with all its gems and prejudices that are still little hated or little discussed in so-called modern society. Great performance by the always excellent Mel Gibson, as well as Helen Hunt. Super pleasant direction by the great Nancy Meyers. It's hard to imagine anyone not having seen it, but if you missed it, give it a chance.

Surprisingly touching, thought it was going to be a misogynistic trope of a misogynistic trope, but it ended up being sweeter than I expected and even teared up in the penultimate scene (won’t spoil!)

Quite fun watch, it most definitely is a comfort film -I loved the personal growth in the main character. Although I wish there were more consequences for him for undermining Darcy. It felt very short-lived and rushed. But I would rewatch this
