Quite an astonishing work from provocative Polish writer/director Wojciech Smarzowski - powerfully melding roots & memories, seemingly forgotten, only to tear back into brutal awareness through repeated re-livings. A movie that will long stay with me. Thank you, Freeman. You bring the goods!
