Plot summary

The woman of Carter Morgan's dreams is his childhood friend's mother, Lisa Chase. When Carter finds out she's gotten divorced, he decides to go for it despite the obstacles that are placed in their way.

A must-see indie film!

You don't need a big-budget movie when you have a simply wonderful independent feature like "Wait List: A Love-ish Story" available to you on Amazon Prime. It's a funny, touching and charming love story centering on a young man's love for his childhood buddy's mother; a May/December romance that grabs you from the moment the characters first share the screen together. It's fast-paced with a clever script and taut direction by Debra Markowitz. The entire cast is perfect, with an engrossing performance by Bec Fordyce as love-torn Lisa, but it is Travis Grant as Carter who is destined for superstar status with his natural flair for winning us over as he navigates the complexities and obstacles of his desire for this older woman. Strongly recommend!

Love knows no age.

"Wait List" presents what could be an overly comical or salacious tale of an older woman/younger man relationship in a realistic and tender manner. Writer-director Debra Markowitz finds the small truths and difficulties that these two characters are challenged with and presents them with kindness. The film doesn't judge these characters, but lets them live in their reality. Bec Fordyce and Travis Grant give nuanced performances as the couple who are trying to traverse a complicated situation. Lovely.

Sweet Indie Movie!

Wait List: A Love-Ish Story is a really sweet and charming indie film.I really appreciated the two main characters and their chemistry. I also loved the colors in the set design and costuming. The soundtrack was also really good!If you like romantic films, you will not regret checking out this indie movie!
