Plot summary

Carmen Maura gives a fantastic performance in this odd, "Misery" type horror movie. I love the beginning of the movie but felt that it fell apart concluding with a disappointing ending.

A truly disturbing horror

As someone who watches a lot of horror it's not often i'm left shaken and disturbed, but this did it. The titular character was very well cast, and the moments of lucidity help add to the tension as more is revealed about her history.It's by no means a perfect film and I don't want to over egg it, but it's rare for me to be left feeling this way. Maybe it's personal due to the resonance of a family member with dementia, but whatever it was, I now need an episode of pottery throw down to cleanse my brain.
