When Polly receives a mysterious box, it comes with one rule: place inside something she needs, something she hates, and something she loves. If she doesn’t obey, it will consume everything—and everyone—she’s ever known.
This movie suffers drastically from the current trend of all horror films must be made like a video game. It must have rules to follow, game style tropes, including time limits, and every game related gimmick known to mankind. This was NOT a movie written as a story, but rather someone's idea of a game that scares them as they play it. Long story short, if you like movies like "Silent Hill" or "Resident Evil," you may enjoy this. I didn't.
Thank you, UL. Unfortunately, this film wasn’t for me. It started off promisingly with the mysterious box, which piqued my interest. However, the remainder of the movie followed a rather predictable path, resembling many others in the same genre. I would rate it a maximum of 4 out of 10.
Decent movie, 6.5/10 is my rating. If you liked 1408 the movie, you'll like this as well. Not as good as 1408, but still decent enough. Plot here is there is a bit unclear though, only drawback.
