I enjoyed this film for the most part

I enjoyed this film for the most part. The characters are relatable and above all, human. I'm sure it will get its share of unjustified review bombs from some people who are overly sensitive with its retelling of history with a woman in a man's role, but I just ignore those. The only strike against the film in my opinion were the songs; it plays out like a Disney film in that sense and diverts from the pure historical aspect of the setting. It's the French Revolution. That did happen, and the film does portray a chronological telling of the most important events in that part of France's history. Yes, the protagonist wasn't a real person, but the idea was to already accept that from the beginning.

It is a very mid movie, the beggining

It is a very mid movie, the beggining is pretty good, but the rest of it is just so rushed and keeps completely boring with very mid songs through the movie. The final is good, and it makes the film kinda worth it.

I didn't like the film at all. Since

I didn't like the film at all. Since this was meant to be a reboot of the Lady Oscar series and manga, I thought that the story was very similar to the manga. It isn't. There isn't anything from the manga. They cut many characters, like Madame du Barry, Madame de Polignac, Rosalié and the Dark Knight and the whole Necklace Affair. The only thing left is the love square between Oscar, André, Marie Antoinette and Fersen, but even that is sped up. Also, literally every minute it starts a song that simply doesn't tell anything and that seems more like a TikTok edit. I just loved both the manga and the original series, so i can't stand this film. It was probably made for people that watch the phone while watching a film, but it's very disappointing how they just cut everything. Don't watch it, you'll waste 1 hour and 45 minutes of you life.
