From reading Alan McGee's autobiog i was slightly

From reading Alan McGee's autobiog i was slightly concerned this would be equally as self aggrandising and actually dull; but i needn't have worried, a trawl though my teenage and twenty something bands was a joy and gob smacking in equal doses. McGee comes across pretty well and clearly had an ear for great music as well as harnessing a positive record label atmosphere even if it was chemically driven. In the end though blind luck did play its part as Oasis both saved and then killed Creation. Knebworth wasn't just Creation's Altamont it was Indy music as we knew it with the Blair visit by Noel, McGee and partners finally competing the circle from outsiders to establishment. A cautionary tale we'd all like to have been part of.

Really good rockumentary. Spending the rest of the weekend with Primal Scream, The Jesus and Mary Chain, My Bloody Valentine and Oasis. And exploring some new 25 year old finds.
