Plot summary

Despite having just 40,000 residents and limited financial resources, the Schwäbisch Hall Unicorns have been able to compete at the highest level of football in all of Europe. But as more money floods into the sport, coaches and fans must face the question: has this team become a relic of the past or can their remarkable culture propel them beyond the constraints of reality?

Unicorn Town is a true underdog story about American football in Germany, but it transcends football. Unicorn Town is about the power of persistence, dedication and triumph over adversity. You will love this movie!!!

Lovable Underdogs

Watched this during an overseas flight. Came away loving the story and Nick Alfieri. It presents the players, team, and town as underdogs, and you root for them all the way. I was previously unaware that European/German towns had American football teams (other than the now-defunct NFL Europe), so it was educational, too.
