The plot... exists. The film keeps you entertained but just doesn't feel like a REAL film. Because it kind of isn't. The graphics are undesirable, even for 2010, but i'm ok with that. It was certainly fun to watch, mostly because i'm into 40k though.

It is a decent movie with a good enough plot. It keeps you pretty entertained and has some interesting stuff in it but the animation reminds me of dawn of war 1 and it is kind of stiff.

Just play the video game Space Marine if

Just play the video game Space Marine if you want a good inroduction to the Ultra Marines, and watch the fan films if you want any quality and faithfulness to the source material. The only real positive here is that bolter rounds are depicted faithfully and you can tell what it is you're looking at in regards to the Space Marines themselves. Although Chaplains can't do what the one in this film does, I would believe if one screaming "BURN HERETICS!!!" was enough to make any enemy of mankind void all of their internal organs out through their bowels. Read and Aaron Dembski Bowden novel or watch the Hellsreach fan film if you want something truly Warhammer 40,000.
