THIS ITALIAN VERSION IS THE ORIGINAL. Kirk Douglas and Anthony Quinn had to dub their own voices on the English version. Plus this Italian version is 26 minutes longer than the English version. YTS had the English version available under their MX domain. But it's preferable to watch this original and get the suitable subtitles instead. This movie is way superior than the upcoming 2026 version. Thank you for uploading this version.
Can we get the actual English version alongside the Italian dubbed. This was originally in English not like so many of the other Sword & Sandal made in Italy in the 60's and 70's
Freeman made another error with The Collector (1963) some time back. Made a lot of requests for reuploading but he is not responding.
Just one great movie after the other startin some weeks ago Freeman is on fire. A lot of gems being uploaded.

KyletheMan - you have no idea how Italian movies are made. For the most part, ALL lines are dubbed in the studio after shooting. This is done for many reasons of cost, more control over sound elements, etc. They are then dubbed by actors of many nationalities for multiple European markets - French for France, German for Germany, etc. I can assure you that Kirk Douglas never spoke a word of Italian, nor did he dub his voice in Italian. One look at the movement of his lips reveals he is speaking English. Quinn also had limited knowledge of Italian, learning his lines for La Strada phonetically. His voice is also dubbed by an Italian actor. This was also a multi-country production, hence the presence of these American stars- they probably both wanted an Italian vacation. The lines of Douglas and Quinn are delivered on screen in English- you can lip read some of them. The ORIGINAL version released in the US and all English speaking countries (the majority of the worldwide movie audience) features Douglas & Quinn dubbing their own lines in English. All other versions are dubbed in native languages for their respective countries where the film was distributed. Since only a small portion of the world speaks Italian, it does not make sense to limit your International production to one country.
