Really good story. I live for movies about people rising to the top and this is definitely one of those movies. The acting was solid along with the plot. I would recommend this to everyone.

Before diving into the review, the movie tells

Before diving into the review, the movie tells the true story of football player Brandon, whose career ends with an injury, and his life flips when he gets a call from Walter, who runs a legal betting business. From there, they get into a fast-paced relationship to make money. The story is great, with strong, short side dialogues, and without exaggeration, the film keeps tension and suspense in every key scene. Matthew McConaughey and Al Pacino deliver tremendous performances, especially Al Pacino. Their chemistry is on point, making it feel real, not just acting. I appreciate D. J. Caruso for showing the measurable life of a gambler. However, the movie lacks good camera work and writing, and the ending was a bit confusing. Overall, I give it a solid 6.5/10, recommended to watch for the great acting.
