While this animation is not as popular as A Charlie Brown Christmas or Frosty the Snowman, it’s a sweet, clever uplifting story that is a must see for the Holiday season.

One of the weaker Rankin/Bass Christmas specials around

One of the weaker Rankin/Bass Christmas specials around, 'Twas the Night Before Christmas suffers from lackluster animation, a plot with questionable aspects and eyebrow-raising messages but it at least had some decent songs, the occasional charm...and...uh, its heart was in the right place...I guess. Yeah, I don’t have much to say about this one but it's not hard to see why this lacks the same staying power as the other Rankin/Bass Christmas specials like Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
