Plot summary

Detective Scott Turner has three days left in the local police department before he moves to a bigger city to get some 'real' cases—not just misdemeanors. When Amos Reed is murdered, Scott sets himself on the case, but the closest thing to a witness to the murder is Reed's dog, Hooch, which Scott has to take care of—to avoid Hooch being 'put to sleep'.

Houch! Plenty of laughter for the anial retentive

Houch! Plenty of laughter for the anial retentive Tom Hanks as a serious detective desperate to solve a murder. Enter gigantic drooling mastiff with a beer/cookie addiction to keep you laughing all the way through a well written plot.

I watched Turner & Hooch a lot when

I watched Turner & Hooch a lot when I was younger. The concept of a neat freak having to deal with a messy dog is classic comedy for a child. And while I still enjoyed seeing it again as an adult, I have to say that the premise is stretched pretty thin. It was amusing to see the fun moments that I remembered, but there’s a lot of filler in here, too. This also is part of the trend of 80s comedies with a dark underbelly of crime, which makes the tone uneven. It’s still better than K-9 (which came out earlier the same year), but Turner & Hooch isn’t the powerhouse buddy cop comedy I thought it once was.

Watched Turner and Hooch this year. This is a fantastic 80’s movie. It is about a man named Scoot Turner who is a detective and goes to find out that a man named Ames has died and Turner has to take over the dog Hooch and go through the process of the investigation. The movie quality is good. The storytelling is awesome and the acting is awesome to see another great performance from Tom Hanks. Overall I would rate this movie a 4.5 stars out of 5 stars. My favorite scene is when Turner and Hooch are fighting over the bath. I would recommend this movie.
