Plot summary

Truck Turner and his partner Jerry, who make their living as bounty hunters in Los Angeles, are hired to hunt down Gator, a pimp who has skipped bail.

I had avoided this movie as I didn't

I had avoided this movie as I didn't think Isaac Hayes could carry the movie and thought it was going to just be put out because the studio wanted the sound track album. I was completely wrong, it has a good plot, good script, Isaac Hayes was able to look natural, and Yaphet Kotto is as cool and smooth as you expect him to be. Plus Nichelle Nichols is great in a small but important part. Truck Turner and his partner are skip tracers and get caught in the middle of a war among the pimps in the city for dominance. If you go into the movie just looking for a straight forward gang/crime/cop movie you will love this. To pull this off they need a strong villain and at first there doesn't seem to be one but it just plays out that Yaphet is the main villain and he elevates the movie. I now regret I didn't watch it years ago!!
