Nice movie, even though it pushes people to accept the AI as a good thing, that will help people to have a better life, wealth, wellness, that can cure serious diseases like cancer, and the human life will be great! A lot of us can't understand in which hands the AI is. Only mega billionaires own the AI and none of them has the idea of helping normal people. The only purpose is making money and enslaving those who are not rich like them. Unfortunately the most of people are brainless and they are so gullible to believe that the AI has the purpose of improving their lives. Another thing that many of us are not able to see is that we are in the Obscurity and it leads the world. There is no chance that the system would help people. The world is for billionaires who are in the hands of those who are at the top of the pyramid. Reading the comments I understood that someone didn't like this movie because ignores the laws of physics forgetting that we are energetic beings living in a physical dimension. We see everything solid and we reason as if everything were like that, when in reality all that you look at is Energy! If you want to see the Energy you have to use the energetic sight, not the physical one. Then you'll understand that everything is possible and that the laws of Physics don't work in the energetic world. Very few people know how to do it and they are able to see the true reality. All the others see the video game in which, unfortunately we live in. Watch Matrix and maybe you'll understand what I'm talking about. Anyways, I liked this movie, 9/10.

I've rewatched this movie now after I was very disappointed the first time. Disney steered the plot from being a secret easter egg of our own creation to lets make it more shiney, put dance fighting in, steer away from real easter eggs because the new generation can't think about getting out of the simulation, and oh yes lets make everywhere the protagonist looks a damn camera staring at them because we possibly only want to see close up of their faces not were they actually looking at, and make that in 5 second interval so we get seizures from all the different angles we can watch them. Was very funny tho after realising their method.

Yeah, no. This wasn't much good. They basically look at rality and said: Screw it all! And then just ignored any laws of physics. I mean, I get that they can do things inside a computer, but giving a "program" physical form doesn't mean they can ignore the rules of the real world like it didn't exist. I know, it's a movie. But keeping it somewhat real so that it kinda feels believable with a bit of fantasy is what make you really enjoy it, and this, oh my god, this just took a dump on it all.

An insult to the Tron name. By all means watch it but don't give Disney your money.

Its pretty, music is ok, Bridges is fantastic of course but that's about it. Watch it one time and never again because overall its not that good. The graphics team is responsible for 100% of the score on this one. 5/10

Yes it's a stu pid movie, but it's for kids I guess and Tron traditionally was always a bit cr ap. Shame, the right director could probably make a masterpiece out of such an iconic franchise. This one never really explains them leaving potentially lethal laser walls all over the city, whether they fade away, or if they have just left those for the city to deal with. Also quite woke, thankfully no digital hoe moez and no digital guys kissing other digital guys for no good reason whatsoever. So it has that working in it's favor. Still for kids though.

Lasers can create matter because it looks cool. Fine, I go witrh the lasers being data sent with light kind of like the internet. Computer program does some traning, then relax by breathing hard and thoughtful. But... They don't breathe. Then lasers moved them to the real world and the light behind their vehicles stay floating in the air while being solid, just like in the computer, but for real... ...and NO! NO! Some small byte of realism, just a small one, please!? It went to far of the rails here. And when he get sent to the "original" computer room because there was another laser there. HOW!? Did you see the age on the computer he went in to get the code from? How does it send you to some other equally old computer? Are you saying it was using the internet? Computers from beginning of the end of 70s, beginning of 80s? The movie was however not to terrible. Just not specially good either. It annoyed me the multiple times that whoever wrote the script showed total lack of understanding of both computers as the rules of reality. I'd guess I'd give it a 4/10. It was a bit worse than "Meh" (which is the middle which is what 5/10 should be).

@itchyBitch You do realize that this is the third installment and Legacy was not the first Tron movie, right? Right?? Or did the part where he goes back to the original grid with Flynn make zero sense to you?

Tron: Arse is itself part of the problem of modern society. And a bad film.

Tron: Ares is what happens when a franchise about the dangers and seductions of the digital frontier grows up just enough to realize the humans behind the code are still the real problem. It extends the neon mythology of the Grid while quietly admitting that the most volatile CPU in the system is corporate ego. The film treats its new generation of programs and systems like Terminator 2 treats Skynet: not just as cool tech, but as an inevitability born from people who assume that “advancement” automatically equals “improvement.” The corporation driving Ares forward behaves like a less honest Cyberdyne, dressing its control fantasies up as innovation while pretending unintended consequences are just bugs to be patched later. The result is a world where the boundary between user and program blurs, not because of transcendence, but because nobody in charge bothered to ask whether they should before they proved that they could. Hasta la vista, baby — because every system crash starts with someone convincing themselves they’re too smart to hit save.

This movie really stretches the viewers suspension of disbelief. Of course this is something you always have to do with movies, but this one made it impossible. Almost as impossible as when watching "mother son" pron and the "son" is a bearded fat old man with a backwards cap.

Oh i forgot one major issue. This movie isn't exactly a continuation of the first. Which is kinda annoying as they end the first with the promise of amazing possibilities of having an isometric algorithm person in our real-world and it's consequences. Then in this movie there is just one scene that hints at their existence. What even. That was a disappointment but otherwise an okay watch.

Honest review: as someone who liked both the previous tron movies, but isn't like a hard-core fan or even a soft core fan, this movie is just okay. I saw tron legacy when I was 18 and I absolutely loved it, that was 13 years ago. I think people who are fans of the series would like this. Because just like both the other ones, it's all about visual spectacle. And ofc, kickass music that makes you nod to the rhythm while you watch cool well done chase scenes in the tron world. I love vfx and cgi if it's done well. This movie does it well. Story is bare bones af. It's like there is a story just because it's mandatory. Essentially it's a pinnochio motif with no layers or depth. But the thing is, if you only want good character development, great story arcs, multilayered philosophical ponderings masquerading as a movie, you definitely won't be going to watch tron will you? So just switch off your brain, and have fun. Idk what happened but people love ripping apart movies and pretending to be some too good for school critic than actually having a good time. Also the acting isn't as good. Not entirely their fault, mostly the direction or the writing to be blamed. Final verdict: Switch off your brain and have fun and go in without expectations. Watch in 4k if you have a atleast a half decent media system. Tbh even if this movie has no rewatchability, id still watch it in an imax theatre just for the visuals and the score.

Just watched it. Unfortunately, this movie was just not up to par. Tried too hard to be good that it failed to even excite the viewer. Too much cyberworld stuff trying to work in the physical world just leaves your belief system going "HUH?". If you must watch it just because you're a TRON fan and try to see how it plays out then go ahead and waste your evening. They even left it open for a sequel after the end credits with a flashback to the original but I will probably skip it. It was like biting into a hot dog with a soggy bun. You wanted it to be good but it just left a bad taste in your mouth. 3.5/10

It's specifically less interesting looking, because they saved on the CGI budget by setting most of the movie in the real world. The movie series that was famous for being CGI is now saving money by trying to not use CGI, take that as an indicator of quality. Also, am I the only one who doesn't understand why the programs cannot simply be copied? They have a whole internet but nobody at all seems to be aware of the concept of copying data, even the one who goes on a mission to copy data from a floppy disc. Anyways, you want an army, just print 10,000 of them, that's literally what the weird corpo dude was trying to sell to the military guys at the demonstration! In conclusion, Jared Leto remains stupendously creepy even while deliberately acting like something that's trying to learn how to be a human by reading the internet
