Plot summary
Chemical flame retardants are everywhere: on our furniture, our homes, even our bodies. Yet, they don't seem to stop fires...but they do make us sick. This film reveals how three chemical companies and Big Tobacco had a hand in contributing to this dangerous standard...and how a courageous group of citizens have begun the fight to expose this shadowy campaign of deception.

Movie Reviews
An incredible true story about big business, the
$5 Billion a Year Chemical Industry: Our Best Interests at Heart?
As a degreed chemist, in my opinion, this documentary is not only enlightening, but somewhat frightening that fire retardants which have been in use since the 70's have potentially such little efficacy when used and such potential adverse effects such as bio-accumulation, toxic by-products and metabolic by products that are known carcinogens are still allowed to be used in our household products. The average amount of this product that the documentary indicates is in our homes simply astounds me. I recommend that everyone watch this film and draw your own conclusions. Perhaps it's time for a Change.org petition to get these chemical products removed from our household products permanently!
