Plot summary

My Second Viewing Of A Jamie Grefe Project

From the five choices of Jamie Grefe films, this is where they decline in quality...and when you start to see the fetishes/kinks begin to make their way into the story. It would seem that Jamie Grefe has a foot fetish, and I believe that he needs to be more subtle about it. Perhaps watch some Quentin Tarantino movies Mr. Grefe to find better examples to showcase your kink.Several scenes are ruined by the director using double exposure, which I'm guessing was his way of being stylistic, but just comes across as being annoying and distracting.This film has twice the actresses that my first offering had, but does have Sofia Papuashvili again so that's nice. Our other actress (Samantha Anne Kessler) wasn't that bad with her character. It's the story that makes it bad since it's weak and stretched out too long (having it a short story would have worked better). Jamie Grefe stars again also, but as creepy characters. It makes me wonder how much separation exists from the man and the character in his movies.Like in the first movie that I watched from Jamie Grefe, this one also suffers from bad audio. The cinematography continues to be almost average since you don't have blurry out of focus scenes or anything framed poorly...with the double exposure scenes really ruining the mood for the viewer.I wonder which actress was behind the camera when Mr. Grefe was acting as one of the creepy characters? They should get a credit for their film work since they didn't do that bad of a job.The movie boils down to two women being filmed in watered down erotic ways, while trying to incorporate fetishes from the writer/director and a slightly creepy/horror subplot. It's one of those films that classify as "Nothing to see here."

This movie will cause brain damage.

This is a movie? I guess there are pictures, sound, dialogue. Nothing redeeming about this whatsoever. I had recently endured (fast forwarded through at least) Red Static Rising, and immediately knew this was by the same director, and no that is not a compliment. Both feature scantily clad women writhing around and some guy in a terrible mask, the director I believe. So painfully dull and amateurish. Only point is that he made a movie and I haven't? Maybe I'll film my dog sleeping for an hour with some random music and dissolves and call it a film. It'd be better than this! AVOID!

Right, well another glorious movie that happened to be written by, directed by and starring the one and the same guy. I've said it before, and I will say it again, movies that are directed by, written by and starring the one and same person are usually questionable affairs. So I have to say that it wasn't looking particularly bright for this 2025 horror movie. But I still opted to check it out solely on account of it being a horror movie that I hadn't already seen. I am a big fan of all things horror, after all.The storyline in the movie was pretty straightforward, although rather dull and plain. The movie failed to entertain me, and it was a struggle to sit through the ordeal that is "Torment of the Witch". But hey, at least there was some truth to the title of the movie, as it was some kind of torment to sit through.Suffice it to say that I was not familiar with a single actress or actor on the cast list. And that was actually something that spoke in favor of the movie. The acting performances weren't particularly exciting or memorable. So don't get your hopes up here.Visually, well, you're not in for anything grand. A shame, because it would have spruced up the movie.If you enjoy horror movies, spare yourself the agony of sitting through 98 minutes of this torment.My rating of writer and director Jamie Grefe's 2025 movie lands on a generous two out of ten stars.
