Plot summary

The story of Shaista, a young man who—newly married to Benazir and living in a camp for displaced persons in Kabul—struggles to balance his dreams of being the first from his tribe to join the Afghan National Army with the responsibilities of starting a family. Even as Shaista’s love for Benazir is palpable, the choices he must make to build a life with her have profound consequences.

A strong, unique documentary. Specific and troubled. A real life story that is heartbreaking yet universal. Though it is a documentary, the storytelling is incredibly well-structured.

Tão lindinho, simples, delicado, real, dolorido, trágico, singelo

Tão lindinho, simples, delicado, real, dolorido, trágico, singelo, apaixonante, real… Gostaria que se aprofundassem um pouco mais nas motivações de Benazir para ingressar no exército Afegão e "abandonar" a esposa e o filho ainda bebê, sei que vai além do amor pela pátria e da possibilidade de dar uma vida um pouco melhor para ambos, pois enfrentara toda a família e comunidade, que não o apoiava… Lindo documentário...
