Dude this film was directed by Jean Renoir, one of the greatest filmmakers in World Cinema.

Was pleasantly surprised. A really well written and cast film. Not at all the heavy handed melodrama I was expecting! 9/10 :)

A classic wartime drama, and certainly much more nuanced than the usual gung-ho "nice" goodies versus brutal baddies propaganda films of the era... 9 out of 10 :)
