Plot summary

This Land Is Mine is a decent film

This Land Is Mine is a decent film. It is about a mild-mannered school-teacher in a Nazi-occupied town during W.W.II who finds himself being torn between collaboration and resistance. Charles Laughton and Maureen O'Hara give good performances. The screenplay is a little slow in places. Jean Renoir did an alright job directing this movie. I liked this motion picture because of the drama.

This is one of my all-time favourite films

This is one of my all-time favourite films. It was this film that made Charles Laughton a firm favourite of mine. This film is just so stirring and the speech at the end always gives me shivers. Amazing film. I wish that they still made films like this.
