Plot summary

The story centers on a group of gossipy, high-society women who spend their days at the beauty salon and haunting fashion shows. The sweet, happily-wedded Mary Haines finds her marriage in trouble when shop girl Crystal Allen gets her hooks into Mary's man.

One of the most horrific remakes I have

One of the most horrific remakes I have ever seen. NONE of the actresses compare favorably with those in the 1939 original. Eva Mendes is NOT Joan Crawford--and as much as I love Annette Bening, but she can't begin to touch Rosalind Russell. This whole film should be banished from existence.
