Plot summary

Um grupo de jovens viaja para passar o Halloween na fazenda onde dois deles foram criados. O que não esperavam é que um serial killer, que atuou na região, fugiu da instituição onde estava preso e retornou ao local dos seus massacres. Eu sei que, com pouco orçamento, o gênero de filme mais rentável é o de terror. Você precisa de um pretexto e de criar um visual interessante para o seu assassino, além dele usar uma arma que o caracterizará. E assim tivemos Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers, Leatherface, Ghostface, Art, e tantos outros. E temos este filme. Praticamente ele pegou um check list e começou a ticar. O início é promissor. Começa com cenas gravadas em VHS de uma família feliz e, de repente, estamos com pai e mãe crucificados e o filho matando a irmã. Ele vi então em direção a um matagal e rapidamente surge uma criatura. Começa então a passar os créditos de abertura. Então estamos em uma instituição psiquiátrica e aqui o filme começa a degringolar. Assim o filme que começa como a Colheita Maldita, agora vira um Halloween e depois se transforma em uma Sexta-Feira 13. Ou seja, um filme totalmente genérico. Péssimo elenco. Sempre vi as críticas reclamando de adultos passando por jovens e adolescentes. Nunca levei muito a sério. Mas aqui é muito escrachado. O sangue corre legal, mas as mortes são muito rápidas. Principalmente para esconder os efeitos usados. Um filme sem alma.

Doesn't deliver

It's not unwatchable. The acting is ok and story is there, but it just loses the success of the setup as it progresses.
