Just saw this one. It was pretty cool

Just saw this one. It was pretty cool. Weird Venezuelan folklore story I didn't know about. Diane Guerrero from Orange Is The New Black is great in this.

Long, lingering shots, long, drawling dialogue, bland, uncatching

Long, lingering shots, long, drawling dialogue, bland, uncatching tension. This is a pretty movie, for sure. The visuals are gorgeous, but there is no substance, as the tension is simply missing, the characters (while not utterly unforgettable) replaceable, and the narrative halting. The casting is cheap, while not being bottom of the barrel by any stretch, and the directing pretty much on par with that. It is not worth your time, even if it is pretty.

Loved it! It's thrilling and has plenty of jump scares. Great story and it kept me engaged throughout. A MUST for horror fans!
