The Weekend Away feels like the modern Netflix

The Weekend Away feels like the modern Netflix version of a pulpy airport thriller novel: easy to consume, occasionally ridiculous, but entertaining enough to keep you watching until the end. If you enjoy movies like Gone Girl or The Girl on the Train, just with lower stakes and more vacation-postcard scenery, it’s a decent watch. It works as lightweight suspense entertainment rather than a deeply sophisticated mystery

This is by far one of the worst

This is by far one of the worst movies I have ever watched in my life. The casting is absolutely awful—borderline pathetic. I honestly cannot believe how bad the script is. It’s filled with stupid reactions and nonsensical decisions by almost every character, especially the taxi driver, whose involvement makes absolutely no sense at all. There are so many things wrong with this movie that I wouldn’t even know where to begin breaking them down. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this crap.
