Plot summary

In the near future, The Tangle, an A.I. utilising airborne nanotech, connects the world. It is a benevolent guardian, returning law and order to society. To ensure that The Tangle never turns rogue, a government agency watches over the tech from within safe rooms, locations impermeable to the nanobots that make up The Tangle. When field agent Margot Foster is found dead in one of these rooms, the agency needs to investigate the first murder in years.

If you like the detective noir type of

If you like the detective noir type of story, mixed in with a futuristic atmosphere, this will be a uniquely satistying movie. Do not expect constant physical action, this is not that type of movie. If you can understand tension building throughout dialog, the scenes with our main characters are a masterful lesson in building relationships and intention, without forced exposition. The phrases our characters use express the way the tangle has altered English even. When you start to question what is really happening on the phone calls, that is when you reach deep into the storyline and start to chew on the implication of our characters past and future actions. Delightfully quirky story. One of my all time favorite movies honestly.

It's low budget. It's a little bit obtuse

It's low budget. It's a little bit obtuse. But, the underlying story is really good. This isn't the flash/bang science fiction of Dune, Star Wars, or Star Trek. The action here is mostly in your imagination. The story is somewhat understated. They don't beat you over the head with the weighty issues, but they're there if you're paying attention.

A static, joyless talk fest. The acting was a little forced but okay for Indie level. The dialogue and exposition was never ending. Far more tell than show. The script may have been passable for a stage play but it was a poor choice for cinema.
