“The Skin Game” From 1931 comes another Alfred

“The Skin Game” From 1931 comes another Alfred Hitchcock directed movie. This movie was a story about land dispute man who wanted to start a pottery making factory at any cost. One family stood up to this developer and after much talking and fighting and discussion a dark secret of the land developer about his daughter came to be known. And with that scandal gave land owners the upper hand to keep this developer's plans of a pottery factory from coming to be. The film quality of this movie was pretty good all things considered being in 1931 and the audio was was decent for the time.

Inherited land is lost to a greedy businessman, and the battle between him and the owners is described as having skin in the game. Understood. It is an early Hitchcock movie that shows how he was evolving and adapting his tone in visual storytelling during the early days of Talkies.
