Plot summary

The story of Irish fighter pilot Brendan "Paddy" Finucane, who at the age of just 21, became the youngest ever Wing Commander in the Royal Air Force, and one of its greatest and most celebrated fighter aces during World War Two.

Save yourself some time, bad film all round

Save yourself some time, bad film all round from writing to production to acting. he Shamrock Spitfire tells the remarkable true story of RAF ace Brendan "Paddy" Finucane, but unfortunately the film never rises to the level of its subject. The CGI aerial combat often resembles a video game rather than convincing wartime action, reducing the impact of scenes that should be exhilarating. The pacing is inconsistent, and the screenplay struggles to develop its characters beyond broad stereotypes. Ultimately, The Shamrock Spitfire is an admirable attempt to honour a forgotten hero, but it lacks the technical polish and emotional depth needed to do justice to Finucane's extraordinary legacy.

Unwatchable! Poorly written and poorly produced. Switched it

Unwatchable! Poorly written and poorly produced. Switched it off to save myself from being completely bored. It's a shame because the story is a great one and should have been given more. The whole thing just seemed dark, dismal and half arsed!

The lead actor does his best to hold

The lead actor does his best to hold together this what is supposed to be based on factual events movie, however it doesn't take long to find many incorrect issues. From the aircraft to facts about Paddy and the Sqns he was on it really is a very, very loosely based factual movie. The CGI was just terrible and some of the graphics was actually taken from the Battle of Britian 1969 movie. They couldn't even keep correct or consist uniforms etc throughout. All in all it was so very disappointing and really let down telling the factual story of an amazing Officer and other heroes who gave their all during a terrible time.
