Plot summary

Unable to process the death of his daughter, Detective Boyd embarks on a hunt for a serial killer who murders according to a brutal tribal ritual: Muti. The only person who can help Boyd is Professor Mackles, an anthropologist who hides an unspeakable secret. The line between sanity and madness thins as Boyd goes deeper into the killer’s world.

I had high hopes seeing Morgan Freeman in

I had high hopes seeing Morgan Freeman in a crime movie, but even he can't save this. It's a hot mess of terrible acting, a storyline that jumps all over the place, weird extra bits of info about characters that ultimately don't really add to the story, and an ending that makes absolutely no sense. I only watched the whole thing hoping it would redeem itself with an interesting ending, and it was unexpected, but was completely bizarre and unexplained. What an odd film.

For people who are just trying to be

For people who are just trying to be critics, maybe you won’t like it. But just a fun movie with Gore and a slight twist at the end I enjoyed it, I think anybody who can like a good B movie would enjoy this. The critics who pick a part of everything or the wants that sound cool won’t like it or will like it and try to pretend like they don’t like it, but I enjoyed it. I say if you like a good horror movie, that’s not gonna win an Oscar, but it’s fun to watch. This is one of those.
