Plot summary

When news reporter Walter Garrett arrives at the hotel room of bombshell actress Angela Merrova to conduct an interview, he finds her dead from multiple stab wounds. He returns with the police to find the hotel empty and the body vanished. Garrett writes about the incident but is fired when Merrova, alive and well, goes to the paper to complain. Now his only chance to get his job back is to find the truth, which involves the grisly scheme of a madman.

Bogey certainly did some memorable pictures but as an actor under studio contract he had to do some real stinkers, too.

On it's own it's the forgettable B Movie version of Frankestein and Dracula kind of. But it becomes a bizarrely memorable footnote because of Bogart being the villian in this. It is just bizarre seeing him in this and you can't look away simliar to Austin Powers in Goldmember not being able to look away at the mole. He's not terrible though. But there isn't any tension in this, super basic cinematography, the humor is out of place, and everyone is just ok. There isn't any character devlopment, atmosphere, just the most basic of a story in this. Bogart is oddly enough the most meorable thing in this. Most should skip this. Very Bizarre Forgettable B Movie. Not much else to say for a 62 minute runtime flick I guess.
