Plot summary

Follow the daily lives of several quilters inside the sewing room at South Central Correctional Center, a Level 5 maximum-security prison in a small town two hours south of St. Louis, MO. From design to completion, the men reveal their struggles, triumphs, and sense of pride in creating something beautiful in this windowless, sacred space deep within the prison walls.

So moving and uplifting but so devastatingly sad

So moving and uplifting but so devastatingly sad all at once. I am lucky if I can thread my needles on the first try and to see these men create such beautiful ART with just a few weeks of instruction was mind blowing. Must see!

The documentary was a true testament of what

The documentary was a true testament of what can really happen when somebody in the system really cares about trying to rehabilitate a population. And this show demonstrates how a population of prisoners can be productive in today's society and give back. This should be model programs through federal and safe programs across the united states, 110%.
