The Perfect Husband: The Laci Peterson Story is

The Perfect Husband: The Laci Peterson Story is a compelling true-crime drama that maintains engagement from start to finish. Dean Cain delivers a performance that captures the ambiguous nature of the husband, leaving viewers constantly questioning his guilt. The screenplay, while occasionally weighed down by heavy dialogue and slow pacing, effectively builds suspense and tension. The direction cleverly misleads the audience at key moments, creating back-and-forth uncertainty that mirrors the real-life investigation. Supporting actors provide depth and credibility to both the procedural elements and family dynamics, adding emotional weight. While the film is not flawless, it balances true-crime storytelling with human drama effectively. Overall, it is a solid, watchable film for fans of mystery and true-crime, providing both suspense and emotional resonance.

Everything about this screams Lifetime Channel, made-for-TV, movie-of-the-week. And for what it was, it was decent.
