Plot summary

Most Christian movies are barely watchable. This movie

Most Christian movies are barely watchable. This movie was more like a TV show with episodes. The acting was strong and the stories were compelling. I really enjoyed the show and strongly recommend watching. A non believer could watch and enjoy the stories, appreciate the writing and acting.

Interesting, Good Watch Overall

I really enjoyed how the writers modernized the Parables of Jesus, and the background story to get there kept me engaged throughout the movie.If you're looking for a decent Christian film that is working to give you a good story and bring the Parables to life, you could do much, much worse. This one's pretty good.And how they made the reactions of people realistic for those stories was really good, too.The acting was good. The characters were believable. The action made sense. The way the characters heard from the Lord was pretty cool.I do recommend this movie as decent. It's not going to blow you away, but it does what it promises: retells the Parables in a modern setting.

Slow moving and Wokism

The casting tells you right away that the production team want to show you certain race is all good and others are either not so or a mix-bag at best. There is only one plot-line. The pace is slow. The acting is not bad but is not compelling. Cinematography is average. But I give it credit for trying to relate the ancient stories to modern viewers by putting it in a modern settings. In my opinions it is not so simple because people act in the social and cultural context of the time, it is going to be off in some way when you try to inject presentism to historical events such as "Hamilton" did.
