2.0 stars; Your basic mad scientist horror flick. In this case, the scientist, played by George Zucco, creates a ghoul out of his assistant as part of his experiments. Nice idea for a plot, but the execution was low-key on the horror side.

Horror film stalwart George Zucco gets to play

Horror film stalwart George Zucco gets to play the bad guy lead, drugging and zombifying unsuspecting assistant into his slave. Evelyn Ankers and Turhan Bey round out a fairly impressive experienced horror cast even if the plot is almost as plodding and inevitable as the Mad Ghoul himself.
