This is an absolutely impossible movie for me

This is an absolutely impossible movie for me to review in any reasonable manner. It is horrendous on every conceivable level. I mean shockingly, shockingly bad. Laughable dialogue, inept direction, the unsexiest sex scenes in the history of cinema. AND YET, watching it again recently for the first time in at least a decade, I had the absolute time of my life. And it brought back memories of my pre-teen self sneaking out in the living room after bedtime to catch it on HBO. Zadora's performance is immortal - you can tell the poor thing is giving it all she's got, but how this got past the editing room is a miracle to end all miracles. It really must be seen to be believed. (If you're easily offended, the Blu-Ray also offers a tamer network television version that was obviously recorded off of someone's VCR.)

The Lonely Lady is pretty bad in all

The Lonely Lady is pretty bad in all ways imaginable. The editing by Keith Palmer was pretty pathetic. The make-up was absurd. Especially since Jerilee Randall (Pia Zadora) was still in the hospital covered up in blood after being attacked (at no point did anyone bother to wipe away the blood). The directing by Peter Sasdy was questionable. The acting from Pia Zadora, Lloyd Bochner, Anthony Holland were wooden. To top it all off, the writing was absolutely horrendous from the beginning to the end and you can blame John Kershaw and Shawn Randall on that one. Even in one scene where Jerilee decides to re-write a script to improved dialogue for a certain scene and that scene had a widow cry out "Why". That's just nauseating and lazy writing. Here's a coincidence, I cried out "why" as well after seeing this nonstop barrage of visual, verbal, and cinematic garbage that people call The Lonely Lady.

It is ehh at best. Shockingly not the worst movie I ever saw. Now that would be the dukes of hazard movie from the 2000s... THAT was bad. Casting Pia wasn't the best idea and maybe a script rewrite could improve the movie.
