Plot summary

In 1917 when the British forces are bogged down in front of the Turkish and German lines in Palestine they rely on the Australian light horse regiment to break the deadlock.

I am proud to call myself Australian & watching this reminds or informs every one of the deeds & expertise of these soldiers & the world status filmmakers in this country. Such a spectacular cinematic treat. Watch it & watch it again. Not your average war movie.

At the time of writing this review, this movie is 39 years old but it is still a great movie. You won't see any CGI and the special effects are rudimentary but the skill of the horse riders is second to none. More importantly, it is the story that makes this film stand out. It is about mateship, immense courage and enduring hardship to achieve the seemingly impossible.
