Plot summary

Very enlightening film about our impact on other

Very enlightening film about our impact on other cultures when we travel. The Cambodian "orphanages" was especially heartbreaking. "It's a mirror of what we do with animals in a zoo." Powerful stuff!!! Thank you for making this. I will promote it to raise awareness.

Whenever I see a documentary with far less

Whenever I see a documentary with far less appreciation than is deserved, I feel those watching are seeing aspects of their own behavior they don't like. I'm sorry Humans are selfish consumers who care nothing for others, just a photo op. It's not the fault of those making this film that human beings are a parasitic species who drains resources from one place and then continues to do the same to another. Leaving vulnerable populations in poverty and able to be exploited by Western companies who do nothing but pollute the host countries. There does need to be a change in the way we travel or eventually places around the world will not welcome tourists, they will be looking to fight them. For good reasons.

How we are so stupidly plundering the natural

How we are so stupidly plundering the natural beauty of our world via rampant travel shines through in this pivotal documentary. It made me want to apologize to all we have harmed. To all the birds, fish, tigers, elephants, polar bears, whales, innumerable other species, including our own - human beings - whose cultures are being poisoned by the tourist dollar. Apologies too, of course, to the beaches, coral reefs, mountain tops, natural parks, quiet towns, and many other types of locales. And to the trash-ridden parts of the world that would never have been that way except for tourism. It is 2025 as I write this, aware this documentary was produced in 2021, but I only happened to notice it on Hulu today. It needs to be promoted and consumed by the world before we have nothing left to save.
