Plot summary

Daniel Murphy is lumbered with a corpse that has the same last name as his, who dies on his flight from Boston to County Cork. Travelling back to Ireland to attend his mother’s funeral, Daniel also checks on his autistic brother. What follows is an unconventional road trip with his brother and the mortuary assistant as they take the coffin from Clonakilty to Rathlin Island.

I have been wondering when this movie will

I have been wondering when this movie will become interesting or at least make me laugh a little... as some of the reviews claimed it did for them. I'm now more than an hour in and I want to change the channel more than ever. I don't believe anything or anyone. I am bored. I must just not be like anybody else. Haha I always suspected as much. :)

These critics underscoring this film just don't appreciate

These critics underscoring this film just don't appreciate the nuances of rural Ireland. We really do ring up Joe Duffy to complain about everything. Doing the right thing, even if breaking the law, is a very Irish trait. Which could have been hammy if we were subjected to silly ‘scenarios', but the writer/director kept it paced and lighthearted. It reminds me of the Irish films we use to get in the 1980's/90's.
