Entertaining, but a lot of more-or-less blank frames

Entertaining, but a lot of more-or-less blank frames to fill the time

Ugh, can anyone say BORING?! Endless soul searching

Ugh, can anyone say BORING?! Endless soul searching literally about nothing and spoken in badly written, awkwardly unnatural dialog which all take place on a single set the size of a closet. Talk about low budget. And these astronauts are given such unnatural dialog that quickly becomes laughable. Not to mention, their demeanor is so totally NOT the demeanor of professional astronauts that you come to expect from trained astronauts. From the handling of a mishap to the question of there seemingly to be "no problem" in doubling the travel time on the whim of a astronaut who decides ON HIS OWN, to turn around and go in the opposite direction, regardless that the ground team has scrubbed the mission. The premise itself is ludicrous. Plus, I guess the production team discovered that all the exterior shots of the spacecraft as well as some spectacular backgrounds of exterior space with stunning looking gaseous nebula and imagined images of Mars with the space station matted against those spectacular shots -- they are beautiful, so those shots are held on the screen for apparently no reason and for painfully....interminably long periods, other than the director figured, i paid a lot of money for these shots, by gum, the audience is going to look at them. All I can say is, remember for every two hours of a rotten movie that you watch...those are two hours you're never going to get back. Enuf said.

I find the solitude of the movie beautiful

I find the solitude of the movie beautiful. Although some details are lacking... Such as clothing and appearance deterioration .. But some subtitle details are very intreaguing,,,, like the subtle constant hum of life one. Loved that they didn't present too much back story, post story or side story. It lets the viewer wonder why Michel is soooo dry, it lets you dream about what happens after the movie ends and it keeps the psychology clean by not introducing all the mission control discussion.
