Three wonderful stars can't save a product that was handled by three different directors. The finished product moves with the pace and grace of a beached whale. At least Crawford looks good in all those Adrian gowns.

The cast is in fine form here. Remake of the 1929 film version which starred Basil Rathbone. Nigel Bruce, Watson to Rathbone's Holmes from 1939-1946, plays a part in this version. Interesting early intersecting of their careers. Powell is charming as always. A must-watch film.

It isn't bad but Crawford isn't given anything new here and the story is just ok.
