I saw it since it was on the NYT 1000 movies list. SLC DVD. This was a good film! Showing the struggles and ambition of a young kid from rural WV. I found it entertaining and well made.

I feel like I put too much hype

I feel like I put too much hype into this. As a racing fan, I was pretty interested to see how they tell the story of the late great Junior Johnson. And honestly, the film itself was just fine. I thought all the racing scenes were exciting and really good. Jeff Bridges also seem to fit this role really well. The rest of the film was just alright, nothing special.
