Plot summary

The movie moves at such a breakneck pace

The movie moves at such a breakneck pace that I struggled to connect with the characters' emotional arcs. We go from a devastating event (like a friend's murder) to a joint mission with the culprit almost instantly, which gave the whole narrative a feeling of emotional whiplash. And sometimes the plot armor seemed to shift unexpectedly, making the established risks feel a bit negotiable.
